The music of the late Dolores O'Riordan echoed through Semple Stadium once more on the closing night of Feile Classical when headliners The Four of Us, The Stunning, Hothouse Flowers and Something Happens joined forces to perform an emotional rendition of Cranberries hit 'Dreams' in honour of their late friend who tragically passed away in January this year.
Following a blazing set by The Stunning, all acts including An Emotional Fish, The Frank and Walters, The Four of Us, Something Happens, Hothouse Flowers as well as surprise special guest Damien Dempsey and vocalist Ciara Meade took to the main stage once more to perform the song in front of the fully sold venue.
In an emotional tribute, Feile Classical host Tom Dunne told those present that the final performance of the night would be dedicated to "all those people that we miss."
"Semple Stadium in Thurles is a very magic, magic place. It really is," he said.
"This is a very special song and sadly not everybody we wanted to have here tonight can be here so this is for all those people that we miss; friends, family," added the Something Happens frontman.
The Cranberries previously performed at Feile in 1993 on the Hot Press stage alongside An Emotional Fish, returning the following year in July 1994 as one of the main headliners at the festival, the same month that Dolores married Canadian rock tour promoter Don Burton at Holycross Abbey, just a few miles from Semple Stadium.
Nearly 20,000 spectators made the famed 'Trip to Tipp' this weekend to relive the glory days of Feile's past which reunited previous Feile performers alongside the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
The fully seated show also featured a surprise guest performance from singer songwriter Damien Dempsey on Saturday night.
