Thurles councillor Evelyn Nevin has encouraged all community and voluntary groups in Tipperary to consider applying for grant aid under the IPB Insurance, Youth and Community Fund.
The Lowry Team Councillor stated that €1 million is being made available under this scheme under the categories of arts and culture, elderly, physical activity and sport, environment, community development and youth, and has urged clubs in the area not to miss out.
Councillor Nevin stated: “We are lucky in Thurles and the wider Tipperary area to have a huge number of voluntary clubs and groups that do exemplary work in the community and work for the betterment of our society. The day to day running of these clubs and their funding is extremely challenging in these economic times. I would urge clubs not to miss the opportunity and to consider applying under this scheme.
“Applications can be made online on ipb.ie/cse and the closing date for submitting applications will be January 17th at 5pm. Funding applications between €2,500 and €7,000 and €10,000 and €15,000 would be considered.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs in the area to secure valuable funding to allow them to continue the great work being done locally.”
