Tidy Towns - Would like to remind all businesses, organisations, schools and homes that closing for 2013 competition is May 28th. Unfortunately we do not know when judging will occur nor we do have any control on what they will comment on or name. Please play your part & make an effort. Their main focus is on weeds, grass verges, clean paths, walls, floral displays. We are trying our best and we hope you will help Ballingarry increase its marks from 192. Please let us know if we can assist you with any queries you may have. Thanks

The Local Roads Action Group - Has now submitted their report to the Director of Services (Roads) and Area Engineer, South Tipperary County Council. This report contained submissions from over seventy individuals and covered the worst local secondary, primary and tertiary roads. A total of 23 different roads have been included in this report. The majority are from the Gortnahoe Area Map which covers most of Ballingarry and the Commons. Others areas reported on were from Mullinahone, Drangan & Grange. Common complaints were to do with the lack of maintenance, drainage and ad hoc repairs if any in the past number of years. We have asked the council for feedback and action on this report which they requested from residents over 6 weeks ago. We hope that they will treat it with the same sincerity that we have! Thanks to everyone who took the time to attend a number of meetings and for all the phone calls and emails and remember that this is not the final step by any means. We need to keep the pressure on officials and elected representatives from here on in”
