2A League

Following on from a good win away to Rainy Old Boys Sunday’s visit of Dublin side Seapoint promised to be an exciting encounter with expectations of a home win. However the combination of injuries, persisting with poor tactics and too many handling errors brought just a solitary bonus point. After 7 games Cashel find themselves in 8th as the league go into recess for Yuletide. Next Saturday Dec 14th Cashel square up to Cork Con in the Cork Charity Cup Final at Musgrave Park. For a depleted side this will not be easy.

Cashel 3rd’s beat

The thirds had a good victory in the league match over Dungarvan winning 18 -10 in a tight game. Eamon Carty and Tony Kerwick were the try scorers, Johnny Maher kicked a conversion, Dermot O’Brien kicked a penalty and to round off his comeback the multi talented Michael Mackey also kicked a penalty. Club President and thirds team manager Patsy O’Connor travelled back from the first team game to be with his charges.

Cashel U10’s

A good display from the under 10s last week. First match was against Waterpark. We started well and started to put some good plays together. We soon put in three tries. Waterpark came back at us and soon leveled the score. But Cashel kept on fighting and held them back in their own half. We ran in three more tries to finish the game 6 - 3. Second game was against Clan, this was a tougher battle and every score was well earned. Clan opened the score but we responded just as quickly. Tackles were coming in hard and fast and we picked up a couple of injuries. It was tit for tat for the remainder of the game, which drew at 5-5. Credit to both teams as this was a very physical game.
