Death - The death has taken place peacefully at Waterford Regional Hospital of Breeda Breen, Kilcooley, Gortnahoe and 2 Tower Villas, Kilmainham, Co Dublin. She belonged to a highly respected family and her passing was deeply regretted. This bore testimony to the large attendance from her residence to Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe and after Requiem Mass burial took place in Auglish Cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sisters Mary, Kitty, Anna and Lily, brothers Tom, Michael, Stephen and Jimmy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a large circle of friends and neighbours. Her sister Lily is attached to B. Kavanagh Staff (Drapery), Urlingford.
WHist Drive - Next Whist Drive in Kilcooley Hall is on Friday night, March 23rd with proceeds going to the juvenile club.
Collection - A collection in aid of Sr. Concilio’s Centre, Cuan Mhuire will be held at all Masses in Urlingford and Graine on Saturday and Sunday, March 24th and 25th. Please support.
Daffodil Day - Cake sale on March 23rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mill Family Resource Centre. All donations to Cancer Support. Speakers on the morning.
Zumba Classes - Starting on March 20th and every Tuesday thereafter from 6.45 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. and Thursday, March 22nd and every Thursday thereafter from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in the Community Hall. 5 euro per class. Meeting - The Urlingford 75 Celebration meeting in conjunction with St Mary’s Residents’ Association will be held on Thursday, March 22nd in the Parish Hall and all are welcome.
Tidy Towns - Urlingford Tidy Towns will hold their A.G.M. at the Old School, Urlingford tonight (Wednesday) at 8.30 p.m. We would like representatives from Housing Estates, town and their environs as we are open to new ideas to make our town a better place and tourist friendly.

Scoil an Chroi Ro Naofa - The Primary School are participating in Green Water Initiatives for the next ten weeks. We will be putting helpful hints on how to persevere water in the local newsletter each week. This week’s tip: Check for leaks and dripping taps. Don’t ignore them - call the plumber. A full list of Water Saving Tips are available in the church porch. Also Enrolment for September 2012 for Scoil an Chroi Ro Naofa. Urlingford Library - Open all day most days. How many Shamrocks had St. Patrick? Well, Urlingford Library has oodles of Shamrocks with names like, Sharon Shamrock, Sammy Shamrock, Selena Shamrock, Shane Shamrock and many more. They were all created by pupils from our local national school and they are on display in all their finery at Urlingford Library. St. Patrick would be surprised and delighted with such colourful characters!!

Eucharistic Congress 2012 - Ossory Day at the Congress will be Tuesday, June 12th. The theme for this day is ‘Communion in Marriage and Family’. It is hoped to organise a bus to attend this day. As there are a limited number of tickets available for the final Mass, which will take place in Croke Park on Sunday, June 17th, each parish in our Diocese has been allocated 12 tickets. If you wish to be entered for an open draw for one of these tickets please place your name and telephone number in the box provided in the porch. Anyone who purchases a 3 or 7 day tickets is automatically entitled to also purchase a ticket for Croke Park at an add ional cost of 10 euro.
