At our meeting on November 7th Jim Troy brought along some of his collection of cameras.

He went briefly through the various stages that have taken place in photographic hardware over the past few decades. Our new people got a good insight from Jim’s collection and detailed explanation. It was followed with a question and answers session which proved a worthwhile experience for all. Our thanks to Jim for his exhibition of his photographic equipment.

We also had the submission of entries for our “Open” competition the results of which will be announced on November 20th.

We will host the November sitting of the Irish Photographic Federation Distinctions at the L.I.T College Thurles on Saturday November 23rd. In order to facilitate the holding of a raffle, members are encouraged to source some prizes. This annual event is a major source of fund raising for our club and a big effort by all would be gladly appreciated.

We extend our sympathy to Sarah Morris on the death of her father John Ryan.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh an anam.
