An 'unexpected caller' claiming to be a nurse has called to homes in South Tipperary, the Health Services Executive has warned.
Public Health Nurses, or anyone else on behalf of the HSE, will only call to a home when an advance arrangement has been made with the patient/family to do so. All representatives of the HSE also carry identification.

The HSE has advised that in the event of any doubts, callers to houses should be asked to present their valid HSE ID and that any concerns should be reported to the Gárdai. Vulnerable and older persons are advised to ensure that their personal alarm devices are working and are worn at all times. Family members are also advised to assist in checking that such personal safety devices are functioning.
