Templemore Ladies Football: Feile 2018 - all roads lead to Ashbourne

Templemore Ladies Football U12 team who played Arravale Rovers last Sunday in the U12B County Final

For the first time in the club's history Templemore U14 Team will represent Tipperary at the 2018 all Ireland Feile.
Templemore claimed the U14A County Title with victories over Galtee Rovers and Brian Borus in the Group Stages followed by success over Sliabh na mBan in the Semi-final and a convincing win over Fethard in the Final.
This group of players and mentors commenced training in February for this competition and have trained in all weathers.
The All Ireland Feile Competition takes place in Meath, Louth and Down over this weekend 29th June – 1st July. Templemore will be hosted and based in Ashbourne by Donoghmore Ashbourne GAA Club.
Their first match will be in Ashbourne at 5:45pm on Friday, straight after JK Brackens U14 team play their first match, and the ladies are back on for their second match at 7:15pm, again, straight after JK Brackens - so if you’re thinking of travelling, you’ll get the talent of Templemore, four matches in a row, starting at 5pm.
Our Third match is Saturday morning in Ashbourne at 10:45. Depending on the three results, quarter finals are in Dunshaughlin, either at 4 or 4:45pm.
A win in that match will result in a semi final place on Sunday morning. Some members of the panel have recently been runners up when involved with Tipperary in an All Ireland U14B final and with north Tipp in the Gaynor cup.
So we’re hoping that it will be third time lucky for this talented group.
Manager Liam O’Connell is feeling confident in his players that they have the ability to go far in this competition, and that with the management team of Anna Marie Murphy, Mattie Kennedy and Johnny Nevin, they have the girls primed and ready to win. We wish all involved every success.
U12s - Hard luck to our U12 girls who lost out to a strong Arravale team in the county final last Sunday in Cahir. The girls were never short on effort and played to the final whistle. Well done girls.
Senior Ladies. The senior ladies travelled to Cappawhite last Sunday where they had to bow to a very strong opposition in their opening championship game. The ladies will play Brian Borus in their next outing Monday 2nd July.
Recycling -Remember to bring along any unwanted clothes/shoes/curtains/sheets to any training/game ahead of our recycling collection in September.
