2019 Championship Draw: Liam Kearns and the Tipperary footballers are set to learn their fate

Tipperary senior football manager Liam Kearns.

The draw for the 2019 Munster Senior Football Championship will take place on Thursday night, October 11th when Liam Kearns and the Tipperary team will learn their fate - the draw will be broadcast live on RTÉ Two television from 8.30pm.

The 2018 Munster football finalists (Kerry and Cork) are seeded and progress automatically to the semi-finals while an open draw will take place to determine the quarter-final match-ups (involving Tipperary, Limerick, Waterford and Clare).

In the 2018 Munster Senior Football Championship quarter-finals Liam Kearns' Tipperary side beat Waterford (0-20 to 0-9), but lost to Cork (0-9 to 1-17) at the semi-final stage. In round two of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Qualifiers the Premier County lost to May (1-11 to 1-19).

No draw is required for the 2019 Munster Senior Hurling Championship since the competition will be run on a round robin format.
