Watch: Tipperary star Ben Healy captains Glenstal Abbey to win first-ever senior cup

Glenstal Abbey captain Ben Healy.

On Sunday afternoon at Musgrave Park in Cork Glenstal Abbey created rugby history when the Limerick outfit won the Munster Schools Cup first time thanks to an 18-17 victory over CBC Cork. And, the Glenstal Abbey team was captained by Tipperary star Ben Healy who gave a composed interview to eir Sport following the thrilling final.

The sides were deadlocked 3-3 at half-time and during the contest Ben Healy kicked two penalties and a conversion to help propel his side into the history books.

Out-half Ben Healy is from Rapla near Nenagh - Ben previously played for the Kilruane MacDonagh’s GAA club and, of course, also turned out in the colours of Nenagh Ormond.
