Thanks to the collaborative work between the Tipperary County Council Library Service and the Tipperary GAA County Board Board a huge number of county final programmes have now been digitised and are available online.
The back catalogue of the Tipperary GAA yearbooks has already been digitised and now you can browse forty-one county senior hurling final programmes and eighteen county senior football programmes online.
As further county final match programmes become available, these too, will also go online. The staff involved in the digitisation programme are grateful for the on-going support of the County Board and followers of Gaelic games in the county for their support thus far and if anyone would like to donate a loan copy of a missing programme for digitising, please feel free to do so by contacting the Tipperary County Council Library Service on 0761 066123 or by emailing to email@example.com (your programme will be returned once digitisation is complete).
At tipperarystudies.ie you will also final the back catalogue of the Tipperary GAA yearbooks and other items of historical and genealogical interest. Indeed, one of the highlights is the Murphy negative collection which portray much of Ireland from the late nineteenth century up to 1932. In all there are 1,251 images in the collection which include several of a sporting nature.
