Tipp footballers jetting off to Abu Dhabi today with Allstars

29 strong panel will play an exhibition game on Friday.

Four Tipperary footballers are included the All-Star team heading to Abu Dhabi for the annual tour.

THE GAA/GPA All-Stars, in association with Opel, will travel today to Abu Dhabi and Dubai when they go on a football tour. A 29-strong party representing the 2015 and 2016 All-Star winners flew out from Dublin today and includes Tipperary players Michael Quinlivan, Robbie Kiely, Conor Sweeney and Peter Acheson.

Tipperary football Manager Liam Kearns who has jetted off with the All-Star team also.

Uachtarán CLG Aogán Ó Fearghail will lead the party which will also include team managers Liam Kearns of Tipperary (2016 team) and Mickey Harte, Tyrone (2015 team).   On Friday afternoon (local time) the highlight of the tour will be at the Zayad Sports City venue in Abu Dhabi when the 2015 and 2016 teams play their exhibition football match, before flying home to Ireland on November 28th.

The tour is a great opportunity for Tipperary players to mix and mingle with stars from other counties, many of whom they have encountered on the field of player over the last few seasons.
