Ran 55 mins in her first 10k: Well done to Martina Farrell who was well under the hour over the 6.1 mile distance in the Tipp Women’s Mini Marathon held in Clonmel last Sunday. Martina has come on leaps and bounds in her first year of running.
3rd in Kilkenny 10k: Shane Mullaney was 3rd overall in a time of 35:17.
Juvenile Training is Back: Everyone is welcome back Training days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays new athletes and help always welcome.
Upcoming Fixtures: This Sunday there’s a 10k road race in Kilsheelan. There’s an open cross country this Sunday in Kilmacow, Co.Kilkenny @1pm, for boys and girls in the following ages and distances: U8 300 metres, U9 500m, U10 600m, U12 1000m, Girls U14 1200m, Boys U14 1500m, G U16 2000m, B U16 3000m, G U18 3000m, B U18 4000m, Junior Women 3k, Junior Men 7k. Prizes for top 10 in each race and the first 3 teams in each race with 4 to score on a team. There is a Men’s race too which is 7k and a women’s 3k race with team prizes the same also.
