The death occurred on November 26th of Kathleen Meagher, Richmond Grove Templemore.
Wife of Ned, Kathleen was born on Feb 28th 1937 to Tom and Katie Martin, The Moyners, Clonmore.
There was a family of 8 children of whom four have now gone to their eternal reward: Tom (Tramore), Jack (Fethard), Mary (Upperchurch), and now Kathleen.
After her formal schooling, Kathleen attended the Technical School in Templemore where she became an excellent Typist.
Her first employment was with the Sugar Factory in Thurles. She was there but a short while when she moved back to Templemore into the employ of A.I. Cunningham Solicitor.
After a few years she moved to Dublin to work for A Cox & Co Solicitors, but again her stay there was short lived and she returned to Templemore to Cunninghams where she worked for the following 30 years.
When Con Hynes opened his dance hall Las Vegas, Kathleen was employed in the ticket office and it was here that she met her future husband Ned.
They married in 1969 and have one child Aoife. Kathleen’s health deteriorated in the past four years and she was hospitalized on and off. She died in The Friary in Multifarnham, Mullingar.
She was well known in the community for her involvement in many organisations over the years. She was a true Christian and may God hold her close to his heart.
Sincere sympathy is extended to her loving husband Ned, Daughter Aoife, grandchildren Fionn Edward and Emma Kate, son-in-law Rodney, sisters Christina (Templemore), Peggy (Athlone), Nellie (Longford), and brother Pat Clonmore, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Her remains reposed in the Church of the Sacred Heart and following Requiem Mass interment took place in the adjoining cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
