Public asked to help identify man who used stolen credit card details in Tipperary

Gardai have issued an image of the man caught on CCTV footage last September

Gardai in North Tipperary have appealed for help in identifying a man who committed fraud at a petrol station in Ballina in September 2017. 

On Monday night's episode of Crimecall, gardai appealed for help in identifying a man who used stolen credit card details to pay for a number of items at a petrol station in the Ballina area on the 29th of September, 2017. The same individual is thought to be involved in similar incidents.

According to a Garda spokesperson: "A male driving a Ford Mondeo Estate filled an amount of diesel and went to the shop to pay for same. While in the shop he purchased cigarettes and other items. He paid for this on a credit card. It has been since understood the credit card to be stolen." 

CCTV footage of the incident was broadcast on Monday night’s episode of Crimecall on RTE1. Anyone with information can contact Killaloe Gardai on (061) 620540.
