The digger at the old pool in Templemore Town Park.
Diggers moved into the Town park in Templemore early on Monday morning to demolish the old outdoor pool for the construction of a wild flower garden.
There is uproar in Templemore Town following the commencement of the demolition of the old outdoor pool in the Town Park which is to be replaced by a €50,000 wild flower garden.
Diggers moved in early on Monday morning to commence the work which must be complete before the end of the year and locals have been up in arms since. However, there are mixed views on the move with many stating that the old poor was a real eyesore in what is a wonderful park. Others though wished to have the pool returned to its former glory, despite it being idle for more than two decades.
