Nenagh councillors have refused to endorse the full roads programme for the local municipal district council.
The plan was rejected at the February meeting of the council, with councillors feeling not enough money was being given by central government to the council for rural roads.
It is not known how muchfunding was received as the councillors made their decision behind closed doors ahead of their monthly meeting.
The councillors decided to implement just half of the proposed three-year programme, with the remainder having to wait until further funding comes along. The list of approved roads was not made public.
