Fianna Fail in Tipperary have been greatly boosted after their party’s 73rd Ard Fheis.
Thurles woman Leonie O’Connell has been elected to the party’s governing body, the Ard Comhairle.
Leonie (27) is a past pupil of Presentation Secondary School, Thurles and has gained her seat on the Ard Comhairle through her election to the party’s Committee of 20.
“I stood on a platform of renewal and that is how I intend to act on the Ard Comhairle. Renewal not just of party numbers, but of the party’s belief in republicanism and equality. I really thank the voters, particularly those from Tipp, who have given me this opportunity,” said Leonie,
