Sympathy - Sincere sympathy goes to Mrs. Eileen Joyce, Spring View, Urlingford on the recent death of her sister Mrs. Breda McAdoo (nee Shiel), Rathlogan, Johnstown. Confirmation - The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred over the children of 5th and 6th Class by Bishop Freeman on this coming Saturday, March 26th at 11.30 a.m. Mass. Front seats of the church on both sides will be reserved for Confirmation children and sponsors. The right hand side will be reserved for the school choir. All Parishioners are invited to attend.
Thurles Vigil - A three hour vigil in honour of the Annunciation of Our Lord will be held in the Pallotine College Chapel, Thurles on Friday, March 25th. It will commence at 8 p.m. and will consist of an Eucharistic Hour, Marian Hour and Holy Mass.
Collection - Church gate collection in aid of Sister Consillio A.A. Recovery Centre will be taken up before all Masses this coming weekend, March 26th and 27th. Your generous support will be much appreciated.
Ossory Pilgrimage - Applications are now being accepted for the Ossory Pilgrimage, May 22nd to 27th. The package costs 720 euro pps and includes bus transport from Kilkenny city to and from the airport, flights to and from Lourdes, bus to and from Tarbes airport, five days full board in a hotel, full pilgrimage programme, all taxes and insurance, as well as the services of the Joe Walsh Travel Agency while in Lourdes. Tennis Club - A tennis camp will take place on the new tennis courts at Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown during the week of April 18th to 22nd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to boys and girls aged 6 to 18 years. Athletic Club - There is a newly formed athletic club in North Kilkenny catering for parishes of Johnstown, Urlingford, Freshford, Lisdowney and Galmoy. They meet at 10 a.m .in Colaiste Mhuire on Saturday mornings. Shortly they will enter competitions.
Card Players - All card players are welcome to the card game every Friday night in the Community Hall, Urlingford and in Graine Hall on Wednesday night. Proceeds in aid of parish funds, enjoy a good night out.
Congratulations - Congrats to Phil Hogan, T.D, on getting a Senior Cabinet post in the new government. A native of Tullaroan, his mother Maura (nee Breen) comes from Woodsgift, Urlingford. We wish Phil many years in Government. We also wish Maura many more happy years.

Soccer League - The annual floodlit soccer league will start shortly in Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown. Local clubs, factories and bars are invited to take part.
