Evening Classes – Due to popular demand an evening class from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. will begin in Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown on Wednesday, March 9th in Tig/Mig Welding, there are still a few vacancies. A class in aerobics will also begin on March 9th from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Some spaces are still available so immediate booking is advisable. Contact the school at (056) 8831135.
Whist Drive – Your next whist is in Kilcooley School on March 11th at the usual time. Next whist drive in Johnstown is March 18th. Proceeds in aid of Vocational School.
St. Kieran’s Athletic Club – Training sessions will begin on Saturday, March 5th at 10 a.m. at the training grounds behind Colaiste Mhuire for any interested athletes. For the immediate future, sessions will focus on improving overall fitness levels, conditioning and introduction to the various elements contained within track and field. Over time, training will branch off to focus on each of the various elements: all running events - spring through to long distance; throwing - discus, javelin, shot putt; jumping - high jump, long jump, as well as walking races. The session will be open for anyone 5 years and above and will last approx 1.5 hours. Registration for membership in the club will commence at the following session. If you would like to be a coach you do not require previous experience but must be over 17 years. Information regarding training session for interested athletes will be available shortly. First Friday – Next Friday is the first Friday of March. The sick and housebound will be visited by Canon Dunphy at the usual time on Friday morning.

Collection – A Church door collection which was taken up recently both in Urlingford and Graine Churches with proceeds in aid of Enable Ireland Kilkenny, collected 245.10 euro, O’Neill Centre would like to thank all those who subscribed to the collection.
Adoration – Exposition and Adoration in Urlingford Church on Friday from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. You are invited to come along and spend some time in quiet prayer before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament during this period and remember the Sick of the Parish also. Pray for Vocations.
Community Games – Fixtures: Gaelic Football (U/12 girls) training in Galmoy G.A.A. grounds on Saturday, March 5th. Please encourage girls from all areas to attend. Table quiz (U/14 boys and girls) takes place in Johnstown Parish Hall at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 8th. 2 euro entry fee. Please encourage your children to attend. Congrats to all competitors who won the Art and Cross Country competitions and best of luck in the upcoming Art and Cross Country county finals.
In The Bookstall – In the Bookstall Holy Soul Rosary Beads 4.20 euro as used by Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. Each decade is a different colour.
