Heads were certainly turning in the village of Golden on the Saturday before Christmas as an apparition appeared on the Main St. near the Post Office.
At around 3pm Dinnie Ryan the postman was seen cycling towards the bridge laden down with letters and parcels. This couldn’t be? Dinnie died in 1984 so what was going on? The postman was in fact Dinnie’s son Pat who, over a period of time has managed to put together a uniform and equipment similar to that used by his late father.
