A three-year-old boy from Nenagh was taken to hospital last Saturday after he was savaged by a dog. The boy from the Ballygraigue area of the town was playing in his garden with friends at around 5.40pm when the attack happened.
The Tipperary Star understands that the toddler suffered puncture wounds to his head and face as well as other lacerations during the incident. He was brought to hospital where he was detained for two nights.
Following the attack, Tipperary County Council’s dog warden was called to the scene and the Star understands that an order has been sought to have the dog destroyed.
