North Tipperary County Council has received a very positive response from its Pilot Painting Scheme for the town of Roscrea according to Local Cllr. Michael Smith.
The Scheme which was introduced in February and has the support of the Chamber of Commerce will see local businesses been assisted in a grant from North Tipperary County Council to paint their premises.
Cllr. Smith complemented all the local businesses for taking part in this scheme.
“It is very encouraging to see the owners of these properties willing to take part in this Pilot Scheme.
“The success of this years programme will ensure a continued roll out to other parts of the town.
“The County Council has made a financial commitment to the town in a genuine effort to brighten up the town centre.
“The administration work in processing the application forms was carried out by the area planner Anne Marie Devaney, who’s extremely helpful in bring it to fusion.
“Works will commence in the coming weeks and will no doubt add to the attractiveness of the streetscape” said Cllr. Smith.
