South Tipperary has hit out at the removal of the Embalming Service at South Tipperary General Hospital and has accused the HSE of continuing their efforts to close the Hospital by stealth.
“This is yet another service that has been removed from South Tipperary General Hospital. This service was being utilised and this is yet another example of the HSE’S downgrading of the hospital and adding further stress and costs to bereaved families with the added cost of the deceased’s body having to be brought elsewhere to avail of this service” said Deputy McGrath
“I am disappointed with this move and the HSE cannot continue to downgrade our facilities at South Tipperary General Hospital. They must be made accountable for their actions,” concluded McGrath
