Cllr Pat English and Cllr Séan McCarthy said they had been inundated with complaints about collapsing and unsafe structures in the estate.
Cllr McCarthy said it had been “only by the grace of God” that children had not been killed or injured, after a six-foot-high section of wall composed of vertically laid blocks, fell over in the estate on to a footpath.
