Bereavement - It was a sad week in the parish with two parishioners being interred on the same day. Deepest sympathy to the Ryan Hurley family, Ballinamona on the death of Patrick, the last of his family of four all of whom passed away over a short time. He was laid to rest in Kilpatrick cemetery after 10.30 a.m. Requiem Mass in Knockavilla Church.
Sympathy also to the wife Peggy and her family of Pat O’Brien, Mill Road, Ballintemple who has died after a long illness and whose funeral took place on the same day as Patrick Ryan (H). He was laid to rest in Tipperary cemetery after 12 o’clock Requiem Mass in Knockavilla Church. May they rest in peace.
Dates To Remember - Women’s World Day of Prayer Service will be held in St. John the Baptist Church, Cashel on Friday, 4th March after a lapse of many years. Perhaps the service may get popular again as it was when many parishes celebrated the event.
Daffodil Day - Daffodil Day is on the radar again this year in good time for thought and preparation for Friday, March 25th. The event will be launched on Wednesday, February 23rd at the Palace Hotel, Cashel at 2.30 p.m. Volunteers and helpers are reminded to attend and new helpers will be welcome. Perhaps this year with some younger people with more time on their hands, they might row in and help out, with the many things that need to be done. Thankfully the daffodils are up and coming in spite of the cold, obviously doing their bit for the day.
Congratulations - Congratulations and good wishes to our Editor on his retirement.
