Several people had sleepless nights, on the eve of Féile Margaret O Sullivan this year. As the rain poured down from the heavens it seemed hard to believe this was summer - and even harder to contemplate all that hard work and planning could be dampened by what sounded like unrelenting rainfall!
Anxieties eased as Mass at St. James started at 11am, Sunday morning, with beautiful music, dancing and singing from such greats as Sean O Se and Nora Butler. Our own local choir were beautiful as always under the watchful eye of Martina Hamill and the school children added a lovely touch with their teacher Brid Coffey. Indeed the weather did not stop people travelling from Bare Island, Germany, UK, Brazil, America, Wicklow, Kerry, Mayo, Dublin and Louth, to the 3rd Féile Mgt O’Sullivan.
