Sick – The Sick of the Parish will be visited by P.P. at the usual time on Wednesday morning.

Collection - The Offertory Collection at Holy Thursday Masses will be donated as Lenten Alms for Ossory Diocese. Please give as generously as possible.

Centre - Mill Family Resource are looking for volunteers for (1) Youth Section, (2) Translate for Foreign Nationals, (3) Programme for the Elderly, (4) Counsellor. Please contact Sue Cox, Project Coordinator or Teresa Roche, Development Worker on (056) 8838466 Monday to Friday mornings. Programmes running in the centre: Basic computers, Fetac level 1, 3 and 4; Women – Mental Health Aid and Slim every Wednesday evening from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Thursday morning 9.30 a.m. Photography classes (taking names), Art classes (taking names), Beautician (taking names) also running are Active Retirement, Men’s Group English Speaking Class.

Field Day - The Emerald’s G.A.A. are holding a field day on Sunday next, April 24th at the Emeralds Ground. Gates open at 2 p.m. Admission free. Lots of fun for all the family including sporting events and challenges, live music, face painting, Easter games and the announcement of the new Lord Mayor for 2011.

Easter Offering - Your Easter offering to your P.P., envelopes are available in church porch. All householders and wage earners are asked to contribute to this collection.

Library - Urlingford Library is hoping to start a knitting centre on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Those interested please contact the Library at (056) 7794182, opening times Tuesday 10 a.m. -8 p.m., Wednesday to Thursday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. Closed Monday Bank Holidays.

Walk - Mac Giolla Phadraig Way Walk from Durrow to Gathabawn Easter Sunday, April 24th, starting at church car park Durrow at

12 noon. 17km Grade A walk (4 hours approx). Return bus available back to Durrow. Refreshments in Mackey’s Bar, Gathabawn.

Emerald’s Camogie - The Emeralds’ Camogie Club would like to congratulate Ciara Phelan and Niamh Leahy on winning the Junior All-Ireland School Final on Saturday, April 9th with the Loreto Secondary School, Kilkenny, beating Mahera Secondary School, Co Derry. Also more congratulations to Niamh Leahy who was part of Kilkenny’s County U/16 team that beat Dublin on Sunday, April 10th in the Leinster Final. Very well done girls.

Louise Kenny for Lord Mayor - (Fundraiser in aid of Emeralds hurling club): Louise Kenny will hold a Cake Sale and raffle in Graine Hall after Holy Thursday Mass. All support appreciated.

Urlingford/Johnstown/Galmoy Community Games - Hurling and Camogie County Tournaments: Well done to our U/11 hurling team who came 2nd in the County Community Games Hurling Tournament which took place in Johnstown G.A.A grounds on Saturday last. They won all matches except against Aghervilla who went on to take 1st place. Aghervilla will represent Kilkenny in the Leinster competition. Best of luck to all involved. U.J.G team: Enda Kelly, Johnathon Dermody, Arron Okoroh, Billy Drennan, Jack Hickey, Calvin Ryan, Jordan Muldowney, Connor Drennan, Patrick Doyle, Martin Bourke, Sean Burke, Arron Dermody, Gavin Moriarty, Johnny Doyle, Kieran Whyte. Substitutes: Keelan Martin, Jack O Brien, Odhran Moloney, Ciaran Phelan, Josh Purcell, Padraig Glendon, Jack Atkinson Lynch. The team were trained by Paul Dermody, Mary Burke and Liam Drennan. Thanks to all children on the panel who turned up to training twice every week since February. Also many thanks to Derek Lyng and P.J Delaney who took the panel for a training session each. Also, our U/14 camogie team participated in the County Camogie Tournament which took place on Sunday. Glenmore/Tullogher-Rosbercon went on to take 1st place. Best of luck to them in the Leinster Competition. The team were managed by Danielle Campion and Annie Doyle. Gaelic Football (U/10 Boys): Training continues every Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. in Galmoy G.A.A grounds. All boys within the age group from Urlingford, Johnstown, Galmoy are welcome to train.
