At just 17 years of age Nenagh’s Molly Sterling was a model representative for the people of Tipperary on a worldwide stage.
Performing her song “Playing with numbers” to millions of people last Thursday night did little to sway the teen’s nerves who was one of the youngest songwriters to perform her own song at the Eurovision ever.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better team around me. Everyone involved was there because of their talent and their character. We have become a very close, tight knit group and I will never forget my Eurovision experience,” says the former Puckaun NS pupil who admits she had to stop herself from crying at one moment during her song’s second verse on Thursday night.
“I had a good few ‘oh my God’ moments during the first rehearsal in Vienna because I couldn’t believe I was about to perform to millions of people but I just loved every moment of it.”
