August 13th - Leaving Cert Results day - is a date that always looms large in the imagination of sixth year students, all summer long.
The fact that it was the ‘13th’ this year, added an additional significance as the day approached. However, students in Cashel Community School had no cause to worry, as the overall quality of the results were truly exceptional.
The smiles on the faces of students meeting with Principal Mr. Morrissey told its own story. The large brown envelopes contained results that were a source of enormous pride for everyone associated with the class of 2014 in Cashel Community School and which also gave students a platform from which to launch their hopes and dreams. The source of the pride and joy was the remarkably high overall standard of the results right across the entire range of in excess of 20 subjects studied by students in the school. There were some fabulous individual achievements with a number of students heading off into the future with results dominated by ‘A’ grades on higher course subjects.
