Take Time to promote your business with Tipperary Tourism

The workshops will take place in Nenagh on the 9th of October from 12-2p.m in The Peppermill Restaurant and in Tipperary County Museum in Clonmel on the 10th of October from 12-2p.m.

The latest figures from Fáilte Ireland informs us that tourism is worth €110 million to the economy in County Tipperary with over 440,000 domestic and international visitors coming to the premier county. In order to capitalise on the increase in visitor numbers and revenue Tipperary Tourism wants to help you promote your tourism business this autumn.

Tipperary Tourism will be hosting two workshops in October in Clonmel and Nenagh to assist you in understanding the Tipperary Tourism brand ‘Tipperary, Time to take it all in’. The workshops will focus on how you can link up with Tipperary Tourism to promote your business and you’ll hear from One Little Studio, a creative content and design studio, on how they have worked on behalf of Tipperary Tourism to promote the county nationally and internationally. It will also include expert tips on increasing awareness and boosting your online presence on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from marketing expert Triona O’Mahony. Ms. O’Mahony is the Destination and Marketing Manager with Munster Vales and is a member of the tourism team within Tipperary County Council. She’ll be on hand to share her insights and experiences promoting the Munster Vales providing best practice examples from Tipperary that attendees will be able to adapt to suit their business.

The workshops will take place in Nenagh on the 9th of October from 12-2p.m in The Peppermill Restaurant and in Tipperary County Museum in Clonmel on the 10th of October from 12-2p.m. They are free of charge to attend and are open to businesses across Tipperary that have a tourism element. e.g. accommodation, activity, food, heritage, culture, tour guides, arts, attractions etc. They will present an excellent opportunity for tourism providers to network on the day.

Save the date now and book your place by emailing tourism@tipperarycoco.ie by the 1st of October.

Tipperary Tourism was set up with the objective to promote, market and develop County Tipperary as a key tourism destination in Ireland. The company works in collaboration with Tipperary County Council and recently launched a comprehensive three year marketing plan. Tipperary: Time to take it all in Marketing Strategy 2018 - 2020 builds on the Strategic Tourism Marketing, Experience & Destination Development Plan 2016-2021, by reviewing actions and results to date. Using best marketing practices based on the most current tourism data and research, the strategy aims to activate a tourism marketing plan that ensures the best use of resources to highlight the products and suppliers operating within the region.

Tipperary: Time to take it all in Marketing Strategy 2018 - 2020 will position Tipperary as a must-visit destination within Ireland’s Ancient East (IAE) and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands which have recently been developed by Fáilte Ireland. It encompasses the rich heritage and cultural assets that the region has to offer.
