Tipperary weather: put away the sunscreen and bring out the brolly with thunder and rain forecast

Tipperary has been issued with a Status Yellow rain warning

Put away the sunscreen and reach for the brolly is the advice from Met Eireann for this bank holiday Friday.

Just when you thought the summer had finally arrived, it turns out the usual bank holiday weather is on the way with Tipperary issued with a Yellow Status rain warning by Met Eireann.

The national weather forecast agency is predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms across the country from noon this Friday, June 1, until 10pm Friday night.

Met Eireann is the heavy rain could lead to spot flooding.

As much as 50mm rain will be possible in a short time, they have warned.
