Nenagh Walking Club, Aonach ar Siul, will hold an open day based in the Silvermines on Sunday, April 29. There will be two levels of walks, a two-hour easy walk led by Martin, 087-2562454, and a three-hour moderate hill walk led by Donal, 087-6841795.

There will be an opportunity to have a cuppa and a chat about the joys of hillwalking and the benefits of club membership.

If you are interested in taking part, meet in Kenyon Street car park at 11am or Tom Hickey's pub, Silvermines village, at 11.20am

The club's Tuesday evening hikes continue on April 24 with a walk around Cooneen, Templederry. Meet at the Eagles Nest pub, Dolla, at 7.15pm. (Note change of meeting point from advertised). Contact Caitriona, 086-8185131.

Last of the Summer Wine walks continue on Thursdays, meeting at Tesco car park at 10.30am. Contact Willie, 087-6633577.

On the first Thursday of the month, the club will depart at 9am to travel further afield, with the first walk taking place on May 3, departing Nenagh at 9am and meeting in Ballyhigue beach car park at 11am for a 3-4 hour walk around Kerry Head.

This will be followed by a walk in the Sliabh Blooms.
