All roads led to Villa Park, Roscrea on Saturday (March 10) for a very special fundraising game between St Patrick’s Athletic and Limerick FC U15 sides.
All proceeds from the game go to help local boy Cian Kruse who travels to the UK shortly for Stem Cell treatment.
There was a big crowd in attendance. A good game of football ensued between 2 of the best Under 15 sides in the country.
Former Killavilla player and Irish international Kenny Lee starred for St Pats, with local representation also with Adam Brennan, Michael Corcoran, Toby Lambe and James Griffin starring for Limerick FC.
Highlight of the game was an expertly dispatched penalty from Cian himself.
The fundraising committee would like to thank everyone who contributed to a very special day. Dan Keegan, Stapletons, Bernies SuperValu, Gala Roscrea, Noel OMeara Signs, Monica Carroll Tesco Roscrea,
First Responders, Match Officials Allen, Emmett and Andy, The Killavilla Ballkids, and the general public who donated so generously and turned up to support Cian on the day. A big thank you to the squads and management teams of Limerick FC and St Patrick’s Athletic for putting on a great display.
Also the Killavilla Soccer Moms for having the clubhouse spotless and then feeding everyone.
The club would like to wish Cian the very best with his treatment and to see him back in Villa Park scoring penalties in no time at all. Donations can still be made at www.gofundme.com/cian-kruse-stem-cell-transplant-fund/donate.
