The Taste of Roscrea Fashion Show was hosted by Donal Hogan & Sinéad Butler on Friday night, who did a great job throughout in making it an event to remember, with their wit and humour to carry the show without a hitch.
The Fashion Show was hosted this year by Killavilla United Soccer Club, and the event would not have been possible without the Committee of the Taste of Roscrea to pull it all together, in getting the local businesses to sponsor their merchandise for the models to show on the night.
The first event of the night was to make a draw for the Make Over Competition for which the Lucky winner was Nicole O’Meara who was then whisked away.
The businesses who were promoted on the night were 1) The Main Sponsors of the Show, Shaws with 16 outfits for Ladies, Gents, & Kids wears, 2) Glitzy Blitz promoted eight outfits for Ladies Fashion, 3) Maloney’s Sports which had a wide range of Sports & Leisure wear especially lots of local Sports Clubs Gear on show, 4) Jazz Alley came out with 10 Ladies outfits to be modelled, 5) Ellie Maie’s Boutique with 10 outfits on show 6) Outdoor World & The Workwear Centre closed off the show with lots of Leisure and work gear.
To close off the Show Nicole O’Meara was brought back into the stage with the completion of the makeover, and presented with a Beautiful Bouquet of Flowers and a bottle of Champagne.
Noel Collins Chairperson from Killavilla United Soccer club, closed off the show by thanking all who made the show possible, The Taste Of Roscrea Committee to Theresa Lawless and Michael Smith for all their help, to all the sponsors of the clothes and to all the Models, male, female and children who strutted their stuff on the catwalk.
Thanks to the Makeover Winner Nicole O’Meara, and our hosts for the night Donal & Sinéad, who did a brilliant job in making the night a great success.
Special thanks too to all Club Committee Members who all have been working in the planning and promoting the show, and the great support from the parents of the children and to the people of Roscrea who once again came good in supporting the local club with their generous contributions of Hampers, purchasing tickets for the night and let’s not forget the Models on the night - great job by all.
The show would not have been the success it was without the brilliant organisation and commitment of our Committee, from Hampers, Models, Tickets - all was in place. This was down to Committee Member for Killavilla, Mary Ryan, who received a standing ovation for her great work.
Noel then wished the Taste Of Roscrea success for the remaining two days of the event and said it’s a brilliant showcase for the people, businesses and clubs of Roscrea and a credit to the committee.
