The drugs sachets were discovered at a playground in a local authority housing estate in Thurles
Two small plastic bags of what are thought to be empty drugs sachets were discovered at a playground in a local authority housing estate in Thurles this week, leaving residents, and those who discovered them, in a very distressed state.
The sachets were presented to The Tipperary Star as evidence of the find and still contained traces of the white substance which is quite visible in our accompanying photo.
“We were shocked to hear of this discovery in our neighbourhood, but particularly at the playground. We all know that there are drugs floating about all the time, but to think that this could have been found by any of our children playing in the playground is distressing,” one resident of the area said.
