Mystery surrounds the winning ticket in last weekend’s Lotto Plus One Jackpot, which was purchased at Easons in the Thurles Shopping Centre.
Nobody has yet come forward to claim the E350,000 prize, but rumours are ciculating it may be a local syndicate which bought the lucky multi-draw ticket.
A representative of the National Lottery was visiting Easons on Monday evening to confirm the exact date and time in which the winning ticket was sold, but Store Manager Catherine O’Toole told the Tipperary Star they still have no idea who it is. “We know it was a multi-draw. We’re presuming, but we don’t know for certain, that it’s a syndicate.” The ticket could have been bought any time last week. Asked what she would do with the money, Catherine said: “I’d spend it. I’d go away on a big holiday and you wouldn’t see me in a long time.”
