FRS Farm Relief Services are set to launch a recruitment drive at the National Ploughing Championships on Tuesday 20th of September in Tullamore to fill the 65 new full-time and many part time milking and general farm labour jobs that are currently available nationwide.
Candidates are invited to talk with FRS staff about the roles and apply there and then through a computerised application form on the FRS Ploughing stand 409, row 18.
The Co-operative, which has been providing farm services such as milking and general farm labour to farmers nationwide for over 35 years through their 2,000 operators, are seeking experienced milkers to fill the roles, but training will be available for candidates who show the right attitude and enthusiasm to upskill.
This is a new approach for FRS as CEO, Peter Byrne, explains, “we are setting out to recruit a core of full time operators to service the increasing labour needs of farmers. We will have a combination of both full-time and seasonal workers within FRS that will be ready to meet the growing labour needs of our farmers.”
