A public meeting about The Gathering 2013 will take place in the Lakeside Hotel on Tuesday 27th November at 7.30pm to discuss plans and gather ideas from the communities, businesses, clubs and organisations of Killaloe and Ballina about The Gathering 2013.
The public meeting is being facilitated by the Local Festivals & Events Networking Group, who have been engaging with North Tipperary and Clare Gathering Steering Groups to find out more about how Killaloe & Ballina can become a focal point for Gathering 2013 events next year. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting as it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about The Gathering and how communities and businesses can become involved.
Members of the North Tipperary and Clare Gathering Steering Groups will be present on the night to provide information and guidance, and we are delighted to announce that Paul Ryan, Regional Representative for The Gathering, will open the meeting with a presentation on The Gathering Initiative. There will also be a short presentation by John Joe Conwell from the Ireland Reaching Out organisation demonstrating how individuals and groups can connect with and invite visitors to Killaloe & Ballina for the Gathering 2013.
A local Calendar of Events for The Gathering Killaloe & Ballina 2013 will be published at the end of this year and will be used to promote events both nationally and internationally. Anyone organising a festival or event during 2013, or planning a specific event for The Gathering 2013 is asked to attend the public meeting next Tuesday, and register their event details with a member of the Local Festivals & Events Network, who are facilitating the meeting.
