Preparations continue for Thurles Musical Society’s forthcoming production of Calamity Jane which opens in the Premier Hall on Tuesday, March 27th and runs until Saturday, March 31st inclusive.
The cast and chorus are busy going through their work under the watchful eye of director David Heffernan and the society is delighted to report great progress being made.
Mary Rose McNally has been working with all to get the musical numbers in top shape and the remaining weeks before the opening night will be spent polishing the scenes, getting the costumes sorted out, adjusting to the set in the Premier Hall and making sure that everything will be so so for Tuesday the 27th and thereafter.
Debbie Kiernan, choreographer, has also been very busy of late while the other very many aspects of staging a production are being catered for nice and quietly in the background.
The booking office in Hickey’s Pharmacy, Liberty Square, Thurles will open on Tuesday, March 20th, and patrons are encouraged to book their seats prior to the event.
Tickets cost E15 and E8 with all tickets on Saturday night costing E15 to take account of food and the band afterwards.
