Tipperary Ladies Football break world record

Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Association have succeeded in their attempt to break the World Record for the ‘Largest Football Mosaic’ at Moyle Rovers GAA Grounds in Clonmel.

The world record attempt was aimed at promoting the sport of ladies football and also raising funds for the continued development of the sport in the county.

The mosaic contained the words ‘The Horse and Jockey’ after the local hotel who is the team sponsor for the Tipperary Intermediate ladies team. The final mosaic was 22.2 metres approximately wide and 3.4 metres approximately high covering approx 76 m². The completed design consisted of 1530 footballs in Tipperary’s blue and gold.
