Strong Finish Seals It For Drom & Inch
Mid J F A final Replay
Drom-Inch 2-3 Loughmore-Castleiney 0-3
Drom-Inch put in a strong final ten minutes to claim the Mid junior A football title when defeating Loughmore-Castleiney at rain-soaked Templetuohy last week.
Having been on the backfoot for much of the first half as a lively Loughmore-Castleiney, aided by the fresh breeze, dictated the play, Drom-Inch stamped their authority on the game in the second period. The introduction of a number of their senior hurlers in the latter stages gave them a vital edge at a crucial time, though it still took a 58th minute goal from subs Michael Everard to clinch the title for them.
Despite the heavy rain the Templetuohy pitch held up well. Both sides gave the encounter lots of energy, moving the ball well, but in front of goal they were not quite as successful. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full story.
