The First year soccer team travelled to Cahir for a friendly against Coláiste Dún Iascaigh on Wednesday 26th September. Cashel’s opening attack hit the crossbar and the resulting play saw Cahir score the game’s first goal.

Half-ways through the half, Cahir doubled their score but CCS responded with a good goal from Adam Skeffington. Cahir grabbed a third goal just before the halfway mark. Cashel started the second half well and Mark Furlong converted a penalty for Cashel’s second goal. Cahir retaliated with their fourth goal, Lorcan O’Meara for CCS then hit the crossbar. With ten minutes remaining, Murragh notched his side’s third goal leaving Cashel in search of an equaliser. It was Cahir, however, that hit the jackpot next leaving the final score 5 - 3 in their favour.
