Seventh Heaven For Nenagh Éire Óg

County Minor A Hurling Final

Nenagh Éire Óg 2-16 St Mary’s Clonmel 1-6

All heaven broke loose at Holycross on Saturday afternoon when Nenagh Éire Óg won their seventh county minor A hurling title thanks a devastating first half display which saw the north champions race into a 2-10 to 0-2 interval lead. St Mary’s Clonmel fought back manfully in the second half, but there was never any doubting Éire Óg’s superiority in this contest.

Éire Óg travelled to the Mid Tipperary venue on Saturday as hot favourites to see off south champions St Mary’s who were chasing a first-ever minor A title.

Initially it looked as if St Mary’s were capable of making a match of it, but once Éire Óg got moving the Clonmel lads struggled to respond. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
