Quinlan Stars For Fethard In Junior Win

County Junior B Football Championship Final

Fethard 0-17 Moycarkey-Borris 1-6

An outstanding display of point taking from Michael Quinlan forged the path to glory for Fethard in the County Junior B Football Final on Saturday evening last held in New Inn.

Amid sticky conditions the Fethard corner forward Quinlan was a constant threat registering seven points all from play in the process driving a wedge between the sides that Moycarkey simply could not dislodge. As early as the second minute Quinlan gathered possession and swinging onto his left foot he accurately dispatched over the bar. The clinical corner forward continued to terrorise the defence registering an additional three scores before the break, the pick of which was a left footed effort on the run from 35 yards out. Once again in the second half he put the opposing defence to the sword clocking up three more scores in a magnificent individual display. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
