Tipperary County Juvenile Athletics

The Munster Juvenile “B” Cross Country Championships took place in Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co. Clare on Sunday 2nd December. Tipperary athletes enjoyed a great day of competition winning 22 individual medals, 4 sets of Inter-Club medals (gold & silver for Nenagh Olympic A.C., silver for Templemore A.C. & bronze for Dundrum A.C.) & 7 sets of Inter-County medals (2 gold, 2 silver & 3 bronze). Congratulations & well done to all our athletes who represented us so well.

Well done to Daniel Ryan (Thurles CBS/Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C.) who finished an excellent 6th place & 1st for Ireland in the Junior Boys Under 16 competition at the AVIVA Schools International Combined Events Championships in Glasglow on Saturday 1st December. Amid the top Schools athletes in the British Isles, Daniel (Tipperary’s only representative on the Irish teams) set 4 new personal bests on the day & finished with a final score of 3072 points behind a very strong English team who occupied the top 4 places. Congratulations to Sean Tobin, Clonmel A.C. who has been selected for the Irish Junior Men’s team who will take part in the 19th Spar European Cross Country Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Sunday 9th December. We wish him the very best of luck.

Sun 13th – Munster Juvenile Relays, Junior & Senior Cross Country Championships in Limerick Racecourse.

Munster Star Awards Banquet 2012
This Banquet will be held on Saturday 26th January 2013 in the Rathkeale House Hotel, Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. Tickets cost €35 each & can be purchased from Mossie Woulfe & Anne Cullinane. Munster Convention 2013

The Munster Convention will be held on Friday 1st February 2013 at 7.30pm in Ennis, Co. Clare. Mooreabbey Milers A.C. Sports Talks

One of the County’s newest Clubs, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. are hosting a number of Sports information nights in the coming weeks. The talks are open to the public & take place in Galbally Community Hall at 8.30pm on Friday nights. Next talk is on December 7th – Sports Nutrition by Ann Maher. More dates to be confirmed later.
