Thurles Squash Club

Thurles Squash Fundraiser last weekend in Costcutters was a huge success, and congratulations to Catherine Ann Lawlor who won the trolley load of food shopping for Christmas. We would like to thank Costcutters for allowing us permission to fund raise for our squash club and throughout both days the staff was more than helpful to everyone involved and a big thank you is also extended to Paul McKevitt who could not have done any more for the girls and we really appreciated all your help and made the girls very welcome.

The people that made it all possible giving up a massive amount of time during the two days the squash club would like to say a Massive Thank You to Marie Meaney, Lyndsey Maher, Alice Hogan and Colleen Maher without your support and free time we would not have been able to raise so much for our much needed club funds.

We wish to congratulate Karl McLoughney on runners up place at the Ulster Junior Open recently in the Boys U15 which earned him valuable ranking points, Karl showed great improvement over the last couple of months and it certainly paying off with an outstanding performance in Ulster so well done and keep up the good squash. Karl has now moved up to Boys U17 and we wish him the very best of luck, Picture to follow.
