Mid Tipp GAA History To Be Launched

The third and final volume of the Mid Tipperary GAA history story will be launched in The Ragg on Friday night next (November 23rd) and is an eagerly anticipated publication - the ideal stocking filler for Christmas.

Following the publication of the two huge previous volumes of a photographic history which have been sent all over the world to Gaels in exile, the latest volume - the written history- will be digested with as much pleasure as the Christmas pudding over the coming weeks and months.

The bulk of the work for this enormous project has been undertaken by Templemore man Martin Bourke and his committee of helpers.

They have succeeded in filling a massive void in the Mid Tipperary GAA story by providing a written and photographic witness to the events and occurrences since time immortal in the division.

The honour of launching the 600 plus pages of history will fall to Mid Board President Pat Cullen - a man who has served club, division and county with great distinction as an official, administrator and knight of the whistle. Pat (Loughmore Castleiney) is father of current Mid Board Secretary Jonathan Cullen.

Events will kick off at 8:00pm and the Mid Tipperary GAA Board is extending the arms of welcome to everyone to come along and pick up a copy of the book which will be a tremendous source of reference and pleasure for many years to come.
