Minor Hurling - our Minor hurling team  were defeated by Arravale Rovers in Co. Minor hurling final in Boherlahan on a scoreline of 1.9 to 1.8. Though defeat was our lot on the day we must give great credit to all involved - players, panel members, selectors, management and back room team.

All year this group have given 100 per cent commitment in training and playing for the the club. Some suffered injuries throughout the season and thankfully they are making good progress in their recovery in time for next years season. Beidh la eile acu, and many thanks to you the supporters. 

School Games - Well done to Our Lady’s on their Harty Cup  and Croke Cup  wins last week. Best of luck to Harty team on Wednesday in game v Abbey C BS in Holycross. The Croke team had a great win over Thurles CBS on a scoreline of 2.7 to 9 points to retain the trophy.

Mid Tipp GAA History

The book GAA activities years spanning from 1884 to 2007 compliled by Martin Bourke ably assisted by club members Aoife Percy, Catriona Maher and John Costigan was launched in the presence of a large gathering at the Ragg on last Friday night. Our thanks to the many club members who attended on the night. This book highly complimented the two historical books already in circulation. Ideal reading for the Xmas. Well done to all concerned.

Launch of New Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport

Our club was represented by Seamus Delaney in Croke Park last Saturday at the launch of the new Code of Best Practise in Youth Sports. The launch was carried out with the President of the GAA Liam O’Neill and the Minister For Children and Youth Affairs Francis Fitzgerald. This code is a key ingredient to our day to day running of our club. Details will be linked to our web site in the near future @ jkbrackensgaa.ie

AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday December 8th at 8pm in Clonmore Community Centre. This is the meeting where all members have their say on all club matters. We are looking forward to a large attendance with inputs from all present.

Munster club games

Congratulations to Thurles Sarsfields and Silvermines on their magnificent victories at weekend in Munster Senior and Intermediate club finals and the very best luck in all Ireland Semi -Final in the New Year.

White Collar Boxing

On Friday next at 8 pm a meeting concerning a proposed fundraiser called white collar boxing will take place at 8 pm in pavilion.
