ESB Electric Ireland ALl-Ireland Minor Hurling Final Tipp and Dublin Must Do It All Over Again
Tipperary 2-13
Dublin 1-16
Tipperary’s minor hurlers must do it all again in their bid to win their 19th All-Ireland Final, after a dramatic climax to the decider in Croke Park on Sunday last, saw Dublin grab an injury time leveller to force a draw.
A game which failed to see Tipperary spark with the kind of verve which saw them through to the final, the match certainly finished in dramatic circumstances as Dublin grabbed two late frees to bring parity to proceedings. The general concensus was that the draw was justified, although the final free which was cooly slotted over by Dublin attacker Paul Winters, was rather harsh, especially since Tipp defender Thomas Hamill, who was penalised for over carrying, had been ferried to the ground having caught a superb ball.
